on december 1, cssc held the naming and delivery ceremony for no. 5 150,000dwt crude oil vessel. zhu maijin, general manager of cosco shipping energy transportation co.(cosco shipping energy), deng changlian and zhang yuhuan, leaders of dsic, attended the ceremony. representatives of both sides signed on the delivery certificate. ms. huang zhen, guest of the cable-cutting ceremony, named the ship "yuan nan hai".
"yuan nan hai" is a new generation of highly competitive brand ship independently developed by dsic. it is an energy-saving and environment-friendly suez max crude oil ship specially designed for cosco shipping energy. this ship, the second tanker in the series, is an unlimited navigation area ship with a range of more than 26,000 nautical miles. the ship is also designed to meet the new requirements of the widened panama canal.
the ship is about 274.3m long, 48m wide in shape and has a maximum carrying capacity of 158,000dwt. it can normally carry 1.079 million barrels of crude oil through the suez canal at its structural draft of 17.15 meters. the energy-saving characteristics of the ship are remarkable. the excellent hull line, the optimized design of the hydrodynamic energy-saving device, together with new energy-saving g type main engines and large diameter high-efficiency propeller make the comprehensive energy-saving effect obvious. it meets the emission and environmental protection requirements of eu hazardous substances list, meets the ship energy efficiency management requirements of ccs i-ship (e) symbol, and has anti-piracy design to ensure the safety of operation.
during the sea trial, it was verified that the energy-saving effect of the ship is better than the technical indicators required by the design, which reduces the operation cost for the ship owner. the vibration and noise measurement results in the residential area showed that the vibration and noise were very low, and all the sea trial personnel felt very comfortable, which has been praised by the ship owner and inspectors.
