yu fengping pointed out in his interview, although the global shipbuilding industry was depressed and newbuilding orders halved in 2015, dsic’s overall economic operation index has stayed stable and achieved good performances in business. especially, an order of 6 vlccs newly contracted, proves her leading domestic strength in building vlcc powerfully. signing the building contracts of two 20000teu large container vessels as the first batch of domestic shipyards to build such projects, also marks that dsic has achieved a new success in the construction technology of large container vessel. in addition, positive transformation of offshore engineering industry, has helped her grab new opportunity of development by having bagged five globally first built 85000m³ vlecs successfully.
yu also stressed, subject to the influence of external market environment of shipbuilding industry, dsic must strengthen technical innovation of the products, continually devote herself to developing high-tech and high-value added shiptypes, and conduct research and development on the globally prospective cutting-edge technologies and shiptypes of new-type green powers and energy saving and emission reduction so as to further boost core competency. meanwhile, dsic shall positively increase her application of intelligent equipment, fully set up modern shipbuilding pattern, and drive the enterprise development in a sustainable, stable and healthy way.
